Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with my chat with the legendary director Mr. Werner Herzog. You’ve probably noticed my enthusiasm for his film BAD LIEUTENANT: PORT OF CALL NEW ORLEANS which began at Telluride. I would call it his new film, but the dude has another film in the can already (MY SON, MY SON WHAT HAVE YE DONE? which also showed at Telluride).

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Growing up a movie geek I always read the reviews in the local newspaper (as a kid it was the San Jose Mercury News and as a teen The Austin Chronicle or Austin American Statesman) and would always feel a little frustrated when the reviewer obviously didn’t like the type of film they’re reviewing, specifically genre titles, yet they review it anyway without admitting any bias.

Larry Charles, a writer-director behind “Seinfeld,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Borat” and “Bruno,” is developing an NBC sitcom about a group of small-town fanboys who decide to make new episodes of their favorite sci-fi series after it gets cancelled.
Like “Curb,” “Borat” and “Bruno,” the new series is expected to heavily employ improvisational elements.
CBS' "Big Bang Theory," about big-city sci-fi fanboys, is currently the most highly rated sitcom on television.

Michael Richards popped up only briefly in this year’s third “Curb Your Enthusiasm” but Larry David said the former "Seinfeld" co-star would be back to deal with the aftermath of his infamous Laugh Factory meltdown.
Now we’re down to the final two episodes of season seven and Richards hasn't been back. Katrina survivor Leon Black, a man of color, figures prominently in tonight’s episode. Does the man who played Cosmo Kramer?
All signs point to yes.

ABC is close to ordering a new “Charlie’s Angels” pilot from writer-producer Josh Friedman, who was Steven Spielberg's screenwriter on "War of the Worlds."
Friedman is no stranger to hot girls with guns, having masterminded Fox’s “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.”
Drew Barrymore, who starred in and produced the two “Angels” movies co-starring Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu, is producing the new TV version as well.
