ScoreKeeper Reveals The Final Five Sixth Cylons Who Won the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: SEASON 4 and CAPRICA CDs!
Greetings! ScoreKeeper here eyeballs a'bleeding after tackling all the damn reading I unwittingly unleashed upon myself. I received over three-hundred entries and I meticulously read through every frakkin’ one of them. Now, where's that eyepatch?
There are a lot of passionate BATTLESTAR GALACTICA fans out there. Only a micro fraction of the total entries were lame and easy to dismiss. The rest were all worthy.
I whittled approximately three-hundred entries down to thirty semi-finalists and then chose the five winners. It was tough because there were easily fifteen of you that I absolutely wanted to give these discs to. But alas, I have only five pairs to give away.
Without further adieu…the winners are…
TSgt Christian Anderson of Thule Air Force Base, Greenland
Christian is stationed up in Greenland where they lack many of life’s finer pleasures we often take for granted. He has no retail outlets, very limited internet and phone service, six channels of television, a movie theater the size of a living room, no Chipotle or McDonalds, no record stores, and no loved-ones. Thank you Christian for your service to our country.
Lynda Lawrie of Kansas City, Missouri
Lynda was one of the few BSG fans who wrote in not for herself, but for a fellow BSG fan. Lynda told me of Chris’ generosity as he was always giving away his BSG soundtracks, or DVD sets, to other people who showed interest or curiosity in the show. Chris paid it forward it a small way and Lynda would like to reciprocate.
Jeffrey Prioleau of Alexandria, Virginia
What Jeffrey did was just cool. All I can do is just post his entry…
I'm stuck in a dream, this Helo Chase has my legs worn, The Olympic Carrier knows that with Helo Rescued and the use of A Good Lighter, chances of The Thousandth Landing leading to Two Funerals will be slim. I'm alone now...but if Starbuck Takes On All Eight then maybe I can be Forgiven for The Card Game that landed Starbuck On The Red Moon that day. Maybe I'll keep Helo In The Warehouse while Baltar Speaks With Adama regarding those Two Boomers who plan to spoil the Battlestar Operatica at The Dinner Party tonight after the Battlestar Muzaktica is performed. I should have known this was going to happen...
... Baltar Panics...
Then Boomer Flees since nobody believes she is in fact Flesh And Bone. A Battle On The Asteroid has begun, all I can hear is a woman saying "Wander My Friends"...how can this be? Under the cloak of the Passacaglia ringing in my mind I witness Kobol's Last Gleaming. Is this my Destiny? No...this is simply The Shape Of Things To Come...more Bloodshed...the Colonial Anthem blares as I find myself locked in Baltar’s Dream. "I'll Escape To The Farm" I think to myself while debating A Promise To Return. My feet move at the pace of an Allegro composition. I must be quick, Martial Law could keep me Standing In The Mud of discontent, waiting for a savior in the form of a Pegasus. The Lords Of Kobol have always known that Something Dark Is Coming, this Scar on my soul now sparks various Epiphanies that Roslin & Adama both have vocalized.
It has begun...
Gina Escapes as Dark Unions form in the shadow of The Cylon Prisoner, this is the Prelude To War. Reuniting The Fleet only because Roslin Confesses her secrets One Year Later does not make us Worthy of Survival. The Main Title that defines our existence can be found buried deep in the Black Market...I now feel A Distant Sadness while standing on this Precipice where the Admiral & Commander almost fell while Storming New Caprica. However, the Refugees Return was all that it took to keep a Wayward Soldier from sparking Violence and Variations among the fleet. The Dance begins as Adama Falls Under The Wing of the Battlestar Sonatica melody, which made the Fight Night before Kat's Sacrifice even more memorable. Someone To Trust is all that was found within The Temple Of Five, whose Dirty Hands carried out a Gentle Execution under the Mandala In The Coulds symbolizing Deathbed And Maelstrom. They decided that Heeding The Call that sang from All Along The Watchtower would lead them to a new home...
...called Earth.
Nice.
Chris Loye of Novato, California
If this contest were all about “who’s the biggest BSG fan,” I’d have to don Chris with the honor. He sent in pictures of himself with various cast members and a hodgepodge of authentic props and memorabilia he’s acquired in the past several years. There’s even a pic of him sitting in Starbuck’s Viper! Apparently he's pretty broke now. I received a handful of these types of entries where uber-fans mingled with the stars and showed off their prized possessions acquired from the auction. The cream-of-the-crop however, was Chris’ collection.
Whitney Eastvold of Seattle, Washington
Whitney wrote in about how much she and her husband have enjoyed BSG together. At first, she had no interest in the series. Her newly-married husband unsuspectingly brought seasons 1-3 on DVD with them on their honeymoon to Maui and became instantly hooked. Realizing she married a total nerd she embraced him anyway thanks to BSG. With his birthday approaching next week she wanted to… “give my skin-job of a husband, the sixth and final Cylon, the best gift a wife could give…besides a good frak!”
